Are your workers bonded and insured?
Yes, all of our workers are employees, and all employees are bonded and insured. This bonding and insurance is for your peace of mind and for your protection.
I work during the day and would like to come home to a clean house. What procedures do you have in place to access a home and still protect the security of that home?
Alexandria Domestic Services is able to access your home while you are at work utilizing several different scenarios:
- You can can provide Alexandria Domestic Services with a key.
- If you have a garage keypad and code, you can provide Alexandria Domestic Services with the access code to your garage.
- If you work locally and feel more comfortable, you can arrange a time to meet your Alexandria Domestic Services cleaning team at your home on the day of your service so you personally are able to open the door. We then can either lock the door behind us or you can be present during the cleaning service.
If I decide to provide Alexandria Domestic Services with a key to my home, are there any additional steps you take to safeguard that key?
If a homeowner or renter provides Alexandria Domestic Services with a key to the residence, the key is never labeled. The key is numbered and is securely locked up at Alexandria Domestic Services until the day of your scheduled cleaning service.
Does Alexandria Domestic Services provide the cleaning supplies or do I need to that?
The Alexandria Domestic Services cleaning team will bring our natural products and cleaning supplies. Trash liners will need to be provided by you, our client. Additionally, if you have a special product that you would prefer Alexandria Domestic Services uses to clean your home, you would need to provide the product and leave it out for your cleaning team's use.
Do you charge by the hour?
Although there are advantages and disadvantages of methods for establishing residential cleaning prices, i.e., hourly versus job rates, Alexandria Domestic Services feels that it is most appropriate to price a cleaning job by the job. Charging by the job allows the Alexandria Domestic Services cleaning team to spend as much time in your home as is required to ensure a quality cleaning job every time.
What methods of payment do you accept and when is the payment due?
At present Alexandria Domestic Services accepts checks or cash and, of course, Alexandria Domestic Services' gift certificates! Payment is always due at the time of service unless other arrangements are made in advance, i.e., discounted pre-paid services.
All payments should be left in the residence on the day of a client's scheduled service. The payment may be placed in an envelope and sealed. Please note that there is a fee for all returned checks; currently the return check fee is $35.
How much advance notice do I need to give if I want to cancel a scheduled service?
In order to avoid our $35 cancellation fee, Alexandria Domestic Services requests that you provide at least 24 hours notice when canceling a scheduled cleaning service. If the cancellation is caused by an emergency situation, however, the $35 cancellation fee may be waived.
What steps do you take to ensure your clients are happy with your cleaning service?
Alexandria Domestic Services is extremely concerned about the satisfaction of its clients. If you are not completely satisfied with the cleaning job that was done in your home, we have not done our job correctly. Your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you are not happy, we
are not happy.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with the cleaning done by our cleaning team,
Alexandria Domestic Services requests that you call us within 24 hours. Alexandria Domestic Services will do whatever is within our capability to rectify the situation such as re-cleaning an area, etc., at no charge to you.
